Spring Fever 2013 Influenster VoxBox!

I was lucky enough to be selected for another VoxBox! This one is the Spring Fever box.
The first thing it comes with is a coupon use at Ulta, for $5 off any Schwarzkopf Professional OSIS+ purchase which expires June 30th, 2013.

The next item is the Secret Outlast Clear Gel Antipersperant / Deoderant. The card says it has 48 hour wetness and odor protection, and leaves fewer white marks than the next leading invisible solid.
Full size retails for $4.59

The next item is the NYC Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm. This is similar to the gloss sticks that everyone is raving about right now! But I would say these are more moisturizing and have more of a sheer color. I got my first NYC lip product in my first VoxBox and I haven't been disappointed by them ever since! These have shes butter, jojoba oil, vitamin e, and avocado oil in them. They also  have a really cute apple design on the actual lip balm which I'm assuming is the moisturizing part. I'm really excited to try this out!
Retails for $2.99

The third product is the Broadway Nails ImPRESS Press-on Manicure, and mine came in the color 110 Joyride which is a metallic medium purple. I'm really excited to try these as I've seen really good reviews on them. They come in a lot of different colors and designs as well!
Retails from $5.99-$7.99

This next item was an "or" item and the one I received is the OSIS+ Dust It from Schwarzkopf Professional. This is a powder that you dust on your hair to add texture, volume, and to mattify. I'm really interested to see how this works as an alternative to a spray or mousse formula!
Retails for $23.50

The last item is the Tastykake Kandy Bar Kake and the one I got is in S'mores. I was really exited to see this as I have never seen them around where I live! I've heard that they're only around the east coast. This is a chocolate covered cake with a creme filling.
Retails for $4.49 per box.

Overall I am super happy about everything I received in this box! All of the items from the VoxBox are provided by Influenster and the brands included in the box are complimentary for review purposes, and you can qualify for boxes by doing surveys and unlocking badges.

May 2013 Birchbox!

So if you don't know what Birchbox is, it's a monthly subscription where you pay $10 a month and they send you samples of beauty product. They are supposed to be "deluxe samples" but sometimes you get full sizes and sometimes you get little tiny samples, I think it depends on the price of the product. And there are a ton of different samples going out each month, and the ones you get depend on a survey when you first sign up.
So now that's out of the way, lets get on to the box!

This months theme is "Beauty Diaries" which is all about your personal beauty techniques!
So my first item is from the brand Coola, and it is the Classic Face SPF 30 Cucumber Moisturizer for Face. It says it is a sunblock infused with organic antiaging ingredients including primrose extract and brage seed oil. This product smells really good! It smells like cucumber and a sweet mint. The size of the sample is .23 fl oz and the full size retails for $32.

The next product is from Marvis and this is the Classic Mint Toothpaste. If seen this product floating around boxes for a while now, but this is the first time i have gotten in in my box. It says that it is imported from Italy and has an invigorating peppermint flavor. I think it's kind of weird to get a toothpaste in a beauty box, but I'll still try it out and see if it's worth the hype. The sample size is .5 oz and the full size retails from $6 to $10.50.

The third product I received is actually a 3-Step System from DevaCurl. And this is about the fourth time I have gotten a product that is supposed to tame curls or help hair hold a curl, but in my survey I said that I had wavy to straight hair, so be aware if you decide to sign up and take the survey. The system includes a shampoo, conditioner, and a gel. The card says that the gel is an award-winning product, but i dont really use gel so I might not try it out. Each packet comes with 1 o of product and the full sizes retail for $19 each.

The last item is an eyeliner from Sumita, and it is the Color Contrast Eyeliner. The card says that it is inspired by Indian formulas and it lasts for hours. Mine came in a steel gray color, and I don't see and color name on the packaging anywhere. I did swatch this on my hand when I first opened the box and I left it on for about 4 hours, and it lasted really well! It didn't smudge at all and only faded a tiny bit when I washed my hands. This sample size came with .024 oz and a set of 4 of these mini ones retails for $21.

There was also an item which was not included on the card, but is a "Birchbox Finds" product and it is a pen from Pilot and it is the Acroball Pure White Hybrid ink pen. Mine came in a light sky blue color, but it looks like they come in all kinds of colors! It feels really smooth and it is very comfortable to write with! It also cam with a dollar off coupon that you can use at any Target or Walmart store!

Overall, I am pretty content with this box. I've definitely had better and worse ones. I'm excited for the eyeliner and the moisturizing sunblock, and will definitely try out the other products as well. You can sign up or find out more information for Birchbox at www.Birchbox.com
Let me know what you guys got or if you've tried any of these products!

I payed for the Birchbox with my own money and the link provided is not an affiliate link.

Holiday Influenster VoxBox 2012!

So I'll start off with HAPPY NEW YEAR! I am so excited to share what I got in this VoxBox with you, as this is my first one! Influester is a website where you can unlock badges and review products to try to qualify for a VoxBox. They have all different types of boxes for all different personalities and they send the perfect VoxBox for what that person would like! Plus, the boxes are FREE!

The first thing I received was this brush from Goody, and it is the Quickstyle Half Round Styler. Hands down the most amazing brush I have EVER used. It has microfiber bristles and is said to help remove 30% of water from wet hair, and it does absolutely that! It made blow drying my hair so fast and easy, and didn't leave my hair fluffy like when I blow dry it normally. This definitely gets an A+ from me!
Retails for $11.99
The second product I got is the Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal+ and I got the flavor Cherry Pistachio. Surprisingly,  this tasted really good! I usually just go for regular oatmeal with a bit of cinnamon but this made  me want to try new flavors! The little cup it comes in is so convenient too, and is really easy to throw in your bag and have on hand whenever you feel a little famished. I have already purchased a few new flavors and I'm super excited to try them out!
Retails for $1.79 per cup.
The next thing in the box was this lip gloss from NYC and it is the New York Color Liquid Lipshine. The color I got was #582 Nude York City. This has quickly become my favorite lip gloss, which is a lot to say because I normally use stuff like Mac, Too Faced, Nars, Urban Decay, etc. First of all, this smells AMAZING! It smells of vanilla but its almost like a vanilla frosting, kind of like Mac's Cremesheen Glass but better! It was also very thick and not sticky! I felt like I put a lip balm on before I put this on, even though I put it on my bare lips. This is definitely something that I am going to look more into and try out new colors!
Retails for $2.49
The next product I got was this Montagne Jeunesse Face Mask, and the one I got was the Crushed Raspberry Fruit Smoothie. This was an extra product based on demographics, so others may have either not gotten this or received a different product. I can't say enough good things about these, starting with the price. Definitely something you can just grab at the store for a relaxing spa night. I have tried many of these before and this one was so thick and smelled amazing! This brand is also vegetarian and animal friendly, which is a big plus for me!
Retails for under $2(I've seen them on sale 2 for $1)
The next thing I got were these Kiss Nail Dress nail stickers and I got the pattern Babydoll. I haven't tried  this specific pattern before but I have used different ones! The claim to last 10 days with no chipping which they definitely do! They do however wear at the edges but I don't think there is any stopping that because I've even had that happen with acrylics. I love these and probably will never stop using them!
Retails for $6.99

The last two things I got were the EBOOST energy powder in Pink Lemonade and a $25 off discount to Sole Society.
The EBOOST is an dietary/energy supplement which is easy to mix and it tasted okay. I'm not too big a fan of energy supplements but I did notice a difference in how I felt mid-day, but I probably won't be purchasing any of these.
Retails for $28 for a box of 20 powder packets, $39 for a box of 30 powder packets, and $39 for a box of 12 shots.

Overall I am very impressed and excited about all of these products! If you want to check out the Influenster  the link is HERE, and I hope you enjoyed this review!

Haul! | Victoria's Secret & CVS (amazing deals!)

So while running errands with my mother today I asked if we could have a quick stop at the mall to run into Victoria's Secret because I had some coupons (which I always forget to use then they expire) for some free items and $10 off of ANY purchase! So I pretty much got a $10 gift card in the mail for free! So I had 2 free all over cotton pink panty coupons, 2 $10 off a bra coupons (which I didn't use), 1 free cotton hiphugger, and the $10 off of any purchase coupons. After searching for something to buy with the $10 off coupon, I spotted the cutest make up bag ever! And it just so happened to be $10! So I picked it up and happily walked over to the register and ended up leaving the store with $35.50 worth
of merchandise for free!

Then while roaming CVS for some household items, I passed by this little set by Wet n Wild, called Flora Collection. It had some a limited edition trio of eye shadows which are really what caught my eye! The trio is called Flora and it has a salmony-orange (eyelid), bright teal (crease), and a sheer toned-down lime green (browbone). I absolutely LOVE Wet n Wild shadows, they are very soft and creamy, which makes them very easy to use, and they last quite a long time on! The nail polish that came in the set is called Twining Vines, and it is the fast dry formula, which I haven't tried before. It's a clear based polish PACKED with tiny little gold and lime green micro glitters. They're so small that it's borderline shimmer. The nest item in the set was a Glassy Gloss Lip Gel in Mow the Glass. In the tube and swatch it's a really pretty coral-pink, but as I assumed the color didn't show up on my lips at all. I hoped this would smell of some sort of fruit but it smelled like any other inexpensive drugstore lip gloss and it is quite sticky, I have a feeling this will be collecting dust in my lip drawer until I finally decide to toss it. And the last item is a Coloricon blusher in the color Mellow Wine. A gorgeous coral-red matte blush, very pigmented. My only con about this so far is the way that it's shaped, the skinny rectangular tin will make for awkward application and a lot of fall out from trying to cover the brush. Overall for $4.99 I think it's a steal!

What I'm about | Why I'm here

So, if you've read the title hopefully you will understand that this is my first ever time blogging. I want to be able to sort of let people know about what it's like to be me, and to explore new ways to release some creativity. I love reading reviews on products and finding out inside tips on beauty and make up related things. I absolutely love to musicals, on screen and on stage, and I love seeing movies he second they show in theatres because I hate missing out on a good film (the few that are made anymore...) I have quite a sarcastic personality, and I am part of Las Vegas' Longest Running Improv Comedy Show where I am an on stage host and (sort of) model. I hope I can reach out to some people and form a place where people can find some information and explanations on things!

Thanks for reading!
